Choosing a size is the question we hear most often, and it is the one worth getting right before you order, especially if you want a name and number printed on the back. This guide explains the sizes we stock, how to read the size chart on our product pages and how slim and regular fits compare. The sizes we stock
Most of our football shirts come in adult sizes XS to XXL, and a few start at S. Each product page shows exactly which sizes that shirt comes in, so check there before you set your heart on one. Some shirts also come in kids' sizes, such as the newborn size of the Spain 2026 World Cup away jersey. Kids' sizes are listed in their own group on the product page.
How to read our size chart
Every shirt page has a size chart in inches. It gives two numbers for each size:
- Chest is measured one-sided: straight across the front of the shirt, laid flat, from one armpit seam to the other. Double it to get the measurement all the way round.
- Length is measured from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the bottom hem.
This is our standard shirt chart, as it appears on the product pages:

Two things stand out. Each size is one inch wider across the chest, which is two inches all the way round, and one inch longer. And because the chest figure is one-sided, a size M shirt with 20 inches across the front measures about 40 inches round, not 20. That is an easy mix-up to make. The chart runs up to 4XL, but a shirt only comes in the sizes listed on its own page.
Slim fit or regular fit?
The same size can feel different depending on the cut, and each product description says which fit that shirt has:
- Slim fit shirts sit close to the body, much like the shirts players wear. The Chelsea home jersey, the PSG home jersey, the Liverpool home jersey and Spain's World Cup away jersey are slim fit.
- Regular fit shirts have a straighter, roomier cut. Our Barcelona and Real Madrid shirts, and the Arsenal and Manchester City shirts, are regular fit.
If you like a slim-fit shirt to feel relaxed, or you plan to wear it over a T-shirt, go one size up. With a regular-fit shirt, most people can simply take their usual size.
Compare with a shirt you already own
The quickest way to choose is to compare with a football shirt or T-shirt that already fits you well. Lay it flat, measure it across the chest from armpit to armpit and from the shoulder to the hem, then find the size in the chart with the same or slightly bigger numbers. Between two sizes?
- Choose the bigger size if you want room to move, plan to layer, or are buying a slim-fit shirt.
- Choose the smaller size only if you want a close, athletic fit and your chest is nearer the smaller number.
- Check the length too. If you are tall, the extra inch of length in the next size up may matter more than the chest.
- Buying for a teenager who is still growing? One size up usually gives the shirt a longer life.
Buying a shirt as a gift
Guessing someone else's size is where most sizing mistakes happen. If you can, borrow a shirt they wear often and measure it as described above. Otherwise, ask a family member what size they usually buy in T-shirts, and lean towards the larger size if you are unsure. If you are not confident about the size, leave out the name and number printing, for the reasons below.
Get the size right before you add printing
A printed shirt is made for you, so our policies treat it differently:
- Customized items, including shirts printed with a name or number, can be exchanged only if they are faulty. A printed shirt in the wrong size cannot be swapped.
- Items bought on sale, in packs or from clearance can also be returned or exchanged only if they are defective.
- For other items, tell us within 48 hours if you need a different size. You pay the delivery charges for a size change.
Printed shirts also take 6–7 working days to reach you instead of 2–3, so a couple of minutes with the size chart is time well spent. The full rules are on our policies page.
